IJA members are invited to learn the ins and outs of Bluesky
The Indigenous Journalists Association will host a webinar “Learn the basics of Bluesky” on Thursday, April 17 at 12 p.m. CT led by Emily Liu, Head of Special Projects at Bluesky. Join this webinar to learn from Liu about the growing Bluesky app. Liu will present an overview of Bluesky and its features and share best practices.
The webinar is open to IJA members. Registration required.
IJA’s mission is to serve and empower Indigenous journalists through programs and actions designed to enrich journalism and promote Indigenous culture. Through this webinar, IJA would like to provide a space for members to learn how to utilize Bluesky to share Indigenous communities’ stories and strengthen Indigenous journalists.
Emily Liu is the Head of Special Projects at Bluesky, an open social network that gives creators independence from platforms, developers the freedom to build, and users a choice in their experience. Previously, Emily built election models and visualizations at The Washington Post, archival tooling at The New York Times, and automated fact-checking at the Duke Reporters’ Lab.
