Current Indigenous Journalists Association members may complete the survey for a chance to win a weekly $100 EighthGen gift card and IMC26 conference registration
The Indigenous Journalists Association’s (IJA) 2025 membership survey is open through Oct. 31. Current members can share their feedback about programs, resources and organizational priorities by completing the 15-minute survey. Thoughtful member feedback and responses are critical to informing the organization’s next 3-year strategic plan.
Members who complete the survey may opt in to a drawing to win a weekly $100 Eighth Generation digital gift card and a complimentary IMC26 conference registration.
Current members will receive a direct link to the survey at the email associated with their membership. Participants experiencing any access issues should contact IJA Director of Membership Sheena Roetman-Wynn at sroetman@naja.com.
IJA’s mission is centered on the idea that accurate and contextual reporting about Indigenous people and communities is necessary to overcome biases and stereotypes portrayed in popular and mainstream media. Expanding access to accurate news and information is essential to an informed citizenry and healthy democracy, across tribal, local, state and national levels.
For more than 40 years, Indigenous journalists across the United States and Canada have worked to support and sustain IJA. Originally formed as the Native American Press Association in 1983, the organization has grown from just a handful of reporters to a thriving global membership, including Indigenous journalists, associates, educators and partners.
