IJA now accepting silent auction donations
IJA is seeking donations for the annual Silent Auction to benefit student programs! Last year’s auction included pottery, artwork, jewelry, clothing, media merchandise, and so much more. Thanks to our generous donors, IJA raised $5,155, which supported IJA’s scholarship programs. Suggested donations include Indigenous art, clothing, jewelry and beaded items. Unique items are welcome, and all donations are tax-deductible.
Donors should complete the Silent Auction Donation Form and include a description for each donated item(s), including tribal affiliation (if applicable), estimated value and high-resolution image(s). Donors may hand-deliver auction items to the IMC26 registration desk during the conference. All items must be received no later than 1 p.m. PT on Thursday, July 23, to be included. Donors may also ship items in advance to: Shirley LaCourse Jaramillo (hotel guest), c/o Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, located at 1401 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97201. Shipped items MUST be received between July 19-21. If you have any questions, please reach out to Shirley LaCourse Jaramillo at shirley@indigenousjournalists.org.
IJA calls for IMC26 volunteers
Indigenous Media Conference volunteers make the event a success, and we encourage members, partners and associates to help with special events, registration and the silent auction. Slots are flexible, and staff will work with volunteers to coordinate the assignment schedule closer to the event. Volunteers can indicate their interest by completing the form below.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Sheena Roetman-Wynn at sheena@indigenousjournalists.org.
