IJA will host the 2026 Indigenous Media Conference July 22-24 in downtown Portland, Ore.
The Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA) will host the 2026 Indigenous Media Conference at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, July 22-24 in Portland, Ore., on the Umatilla tribes usual and accustom areas of the Multnomah, Wasco, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla and present-day Grande Ronde, Siletz and Cowlitz.
IJA members can register with discounted early bird rates through June 1.
Pricing for all tiers includes access to workshops, sessions, screenings and keynote presentations. Conference registration also includes a ticket to Opening Night Reception on Wednesday, July 22 at The Redd on Salmon Street, sponsored by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR).

Tickets for Opening Night Reception on Wednesday, July 22, are $50 for guests who are not registered IMC attendees.
Tickets for the IJA Membership Luncheon on Thursday, July 23 are $85 and available for members and non-members. Attendees will review IJA’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan.
Tickets to the Indigenous Media Awards Banquet on Friday, July 24, from 6-9 p.m., are $100 and available for members and non-members.
A discounted ticket bundle for the IJA Membership Luncheon and the Indigenous Media Awards Banquet is available for $175, which saves $10.
Registration also includes on-demand access to conference programming on the IJA YouTube channel following the event.
The Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront is located at 1401 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97201. Reservations on the IMC26 block can be made online starting at $216 USD per night, available July 20-26. Guestroom reservations must be made by June 29, to receive the discounted group room rates. After this date, guestrooms will be at the best available rate.
